Dinosaurs and the Bible

Check out this video. Dinosaurs fit in with the Bible just fine:

(Here's a direct link to the video in case this doesn't play)

Yep, I really believe this! No kidding!

There is a time for everything...

When stuff in my life goes topsy turvy, like this week, I try to remember that God is in charge. The thing is, we just don't know what his plans for us are. So, this passage of the Bible has been playing itself in my head today. I just thought I would share it:

Ecclesiastes 3

1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,

3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,

4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,

5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,

6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,

7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,

8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

I hope it can help you sometime like it helps me.

Goodbye Peanut Boy. We will miss you very much....

Our parrot, Peanut Boy died tonight. Peanut Boy was a Timneh African Grey parrot, and a very loving member of our family.

Peanut Boy

Peanut Boy      Peanut Boy

His last owner, an elderly man, died. Poor Peanut Boy had been bonded with his owner, and was grieving thereafter. He had pulled out many of his feathers and was in very poor shape. The man's widow was no solace for Peanut Boy, and she gave up and decided to find him a new home.

Most of our pets come from sad situations, and when I saw Peanut Boy, with his feathers all chewed up, my heart broke for him.

I brought him home and he became a member of our family. In time, Peanut Boy fell in love with my hubby, and his feathers slowly recovered.

He was bonded to my hubby, like my hubby was his mate. Peanut Boy would sit on my hubby's shoulder and whisper sweet nothings into my hubby's ear. We would pause the TV and just listen to Peanut Boy and smile at each other. Peanut Boy will be very much missed.

We are very happy that Peanut Boy was able to find a second love in his life after his old owner died. We will miss him very much, but we are consoled with the thought that he was a happy bird till the day he died.

Dear God,

Please accept our Peanut Boy into your arms.

Hey, X! Why do you talk about God all the time?

Some of you might have noticed that I mention God in many places all through my space. "How come?", you might ask. Well, I like to talk about my favorite things on my space. As a born again Christian, my relationship with God is my very favorite thing.

My relationship with God is especially important to me since I've only believed in God for eleven years out of the over fifty years I have lived. I like my life much better now that I have Jesus in it.

Another of my favorite things is telling other people the reasons why I believe in God. Before I believed in God, I never knew that there were logical reasons why a logical person could believe that God exists. But, there are logical reasons to believe in God.

On my space, in the top corner, I have "My Motto". In part, it says:

"... Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have ..." from the Bible: 1 Peter 3:15.

I am always "prepared to give an answer" because I've compiled a website to do just that. I made my little website X-Evolutionist.com to talk specifically about "The Reasons Why I Believe in God".

In closing, I'm going to quote my favorite Bible verse:

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1.

Thanks for reading this far down.

Sincerely,

X

That's what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown.

In "A Charlie Brown Christmas" Charlie Brown asks: "Isn't there anyone out there who can tell me what Christmas is all about?"

Linus steps up and says:

"And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the fields, keeping watch over their flocks by night. And lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the lord shone round about them, and they were so afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not, for behold, I bring unto you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you this day is born in the City of Bethlehem, a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; you shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel, a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God, and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest, and on Earth peace, good will toward men'".

That's what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown.

That's my favorite part of A Charlie Brown Christmas, when Linus quotes Luke chapter two from the Bible.
